missingWrote a review on 10 Decbalcony spotcozy decorsmall showerhead
The studio had a small balcony offering a nice spot to enjoy the fresh mountain air. The overall decor of the apartment was appealing and cozy, making it suitable for relaxing after a long day.
Several drawbacks stuck out. The shower head seemed ridiculously small and did not perform well, making showering a struggle. Hallway lights were on timers that were too short, so each time you moved between floors, you had to fumble for the switch. No elevators either, which could be a hassle, especially with bags. The ambiance overall felt a bit dark and cramped in common areas, particularly since the lounge and bar were unlit during our visit, making the place feel less welcoming. Expect to travel a bit if you want dining options, as not many sit within a close range.

Should you go for it? my answer
We were fortunate to have a balcony overlooking the Matterhorn, which was simply breathtaking. The room was spacious and clean, providing a cozy atmosphere. Though the walk from the train station was uphill, the stunning views made it worthwhile. Breakfast options were decent, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We had an incredible time hanging out with friends. The breakfast was top-notch with fresh options, and we enjoyed the good location, allowing us easy access to skiing and hiking. The staff was friendly and made our stay great. Definitely explore the area. a week is ideal for more fun experiences!
One downside was the limited options for dining in the hotel, which left us venturing out for meals. It would have been great to have a place to eat within the hotel.

amazing view but uphill walk
The one-bedroom apartment with a balcony and Matterhorn view was exceptional. I loved the spacious living area that made relaxation easy after a day exploring. The kitchen was well-stocked with quality pots and pans, and I can honestly say the bed provided one of the most restful sleeps I’ve ever experienced. Waking up to the mountain view every morning was a definite highlight.
The uphill walk from the train station can be quite challenging.

The stay included a surprisingly spacious room with a nice bathroom, though the view from the windows was unremarkable. Just outside, a short stroll revealed a stunning view of the iconic peak. The breakfast was simple but fulfilling and made for a pleasant start to the day. However, the uphill walk from the train station can be challenging with heavy luggage, and the surrounding streets, while charming, are cobbled, which adds to the difficulty.

We stayed in a fantastic room with a balcony overlooking the Matterhorn, a view that truly captures Zermatt's beauty. The kids loved the ski lessons and the hotel provided great ski storage, making our winter getaway so much easier. Plus, the breakfast was quite decent!
In my wife’s opinion, it would be great if there were more kid-friendly meal options in the dining area.
